The Unique Features of Jingling Pot

The base of the main pitch is a grim reminder of these incidents, littered with the skeletons of sheep and other remains in various stages of decay.
At the bottom of the main shaft, a narrow rift extends to the north, descending into another chamber. Here, explorers can find a piece of history etched into the rock—the initials of the original party that entered the pothole in 1897 members of the Yorkshire Ramblers Club. Remarkably, the Lateral Cleft route remained undiscovered until 1969.
