International Kite Festival in San Vito Lo Capo

From May 21st to 25th, the skies over San Vito Lo Capo will burst with color during the 15th International Kite Festival. This enchanting event captivates both adults and children alike. Kicking off with an opening parade that travels from the Town Hall to the beach, the spectacle promises to fill the sky with a kaleidoscope of kites.

Throughout the five days of festivities, attendees can enjoy thrilling kite performances and participate in hands-on workshops, designed for all ages, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Kids can revel in activities such as inflatable attractions, magic shows, juggling performances, and parades featuring beloved mascots. Notably, the festival will also commemorate the 33rd anniversary of the Capaci massacre with a poignant ceremony that includes the release of white kites while excerpts from Giovanni Falcone’s writings are read.

Cultural stroll in Cossignano

On Saturday, May 24th, at 4:00 PM, the “Museum Walk” initiative will allow you to visit the medieval village of Cossignano for free. This cultural stroll through the historic center includes a visit to the Civic Museum of Sacred Art and the Antiquarium “Nicola Pansoni.” Although participation is free, it’s limited to 70 people, and a reservation is required via a message to the contact number listed on the event site.

The Francigena Festival in Priverno and Fossanova
